After you have started your blog in order to get traffic, the most important thing you need to do is marketing. Imagine your blog is a small shop is located some where in a very large shopping center, if the store has not been indexed in the directory, as he expects people will find your shop? Technorati is a site index for photos, videos, and blogs. After creating a free account with Technorati, you can claim your blog under the profile page. Please enter your blog URL, check the Technorati blog by sending property to your blog (using OpenID) to log After verification, simply enter your tag for your blog. This is important because people can easily find your blog through the tags. I would strongly suggest that you can go to Google Keyword searching for relevant keywords and keep it on file so you can reuse these keywords to describe your blog.

Technorati ranks blogs by the authorities, the strongest links back to your blog, the highest authority you have. This simply means that many other web sites or pages out there talking about page.

2. My Blog Log

My Blog Log is a service of yahoo, if you have a yahoo account, you can directly access and create an account with MyBlogLog. After entering your profile information, you can add your own services (Facebook, Twitter, Friendster, etc.) so that people can contact you or add you as a friend from another platform and community.

You can add the blog to your page, and remember to enter the correct tag and relevant to your blog. Do this just like what you did in Technorati.

After you have added your blog, add your friends from your yahoo account so that your friends can join. Otherwise, you can search through MyBlogLog and add friends, so that people will visit your page and through this you can choose to visit your blog as well. If your blog has good content, visitors will become part of your community as a member. Simply, you have built your communities.

A nice feature that MyBlogLog is that provided you can create widgets of visitors, when MyBlogLog visitors come to your blog, your photo or avatar will be displayed in the widget. This is much better than just showing the number of visitors you have.
