This question of whether a member should go for niche marketing and mass marketing is questionable. There are generally two schools of thought. A group of franchisees claim that mass marketing can affect a wider group of audience and then make sales. The other, niche marketing would ensure the success of niche marketing and relatively easy to conquer a niche. So who is right and what should be an option for you?

Before dwelling on the subject, we need to understand what is niche marketing and mass marketing. Niche marketing focuses primarily on the promotion of a small market close. This is the specialization involved and the niches are often ignored by the big players that can not be bothered with and are not interested in small sales volumes created through niches. Mass marketing, on the other hand, tries to appeal to the general mass and offer a variety of products.

For the affiliate like you, the question we should ask is what type of work are they prepared to do, and not the fact of niche marketing and mass marketing is better. Niche marketing focuses on finding small markets that have a demand but weak supply and is therefore much easier to control. However, in order to expand your business to an affiliate marketing firm, you must conquer many niches.

So if you are one who prefers the variety and do not mind trying and testing new niche market, then by all means, make use of niche marketing. This requires research in many different topics and issues that are totally unrelated to one another. Mass marketing is for big boys. This is what you came to hear very often. But the big boys when they were little as well. They started small and slowly turned into a dimension not to be underestimated.
