Business Creation - What Is The Meaning Of Your Business?

What is the concept of your company? How will you work?

Are you going to sell products or time ... ideas ...?

I try to lead you define your business model.

Basically there are three types of companies:

1. Companies that sell tangible things.

2. Companies that sell the time.

3. Companies selling intangibles.

Certainly many companies successfully blend all three models.

In the first group we find the traditional business life. The shops, factories, restaurants and farms engaged in selling physical products to their customers. It is the business model easier to understand. For these businesses, the prevailing law of supply and demand. In other words, the more scarce the product and the more demand rises more valuable it is.

The second type of company sells the scarcest resource of all: time. Here are the pros. Lawyers, doctors, transport and hotels all sell the use of your time. Depending on the application may require a higher price or less, but they are always limited to business hours of the day.

The third type of company, sells intangible products. Its products are songs, reports, information or other content. In this group are the media, artists and software producers. The great advantage that they can sell the same work repeatedly. Yet they are forced to compete in highly competitive market.

But it is imperative that your business fits one of these three models. If we mix aspects of the three models, we incorporate into our strategy alternative revenue streams. This ensures a more stable and predictable income.

For example, a company dedicated to the purchase, sale and storage of tangible products, you can sell consulting services to other processes of distribution companies are not competitors. It could also develop a management software specifically designed to facilitate the integration of new customers in their logistics processes. So you can increase your profits by incorporating services and intangible products.

The shrewd businessman is always looking for synergies of this type to create complementary products that enhance their core business. This is not to divert your attention to activities not correlated with your special abilities, but precisely to exploit those same skills in different ways.
